On November 4, 2021, Liu Mingsheng, SPIC Vice President and Party Leadership Group Member, went to Minghua Electric Power to carry out a special research. SEP Party Secretary and Chairman Hu Jiandong participated in the research.

 

Liu Mingsheng and his delegation visited the exhibition hall and testing center of Minghua Electric Power, and heard a report on the scientific and technological innovation, business innovation, core competitiveness building, layout of "three new" industries and boosting transformation and development delivered by the company.

Liu Mingsheng noted that the brand and technical advantages of Minghua Electric Power must play a more prominent role in promoting the green development and scientific and technological innovation of SPIC.

Liu Mingsheng put forward a few requirements as follows: first, find the right direction, focus on China's targets of peaking carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060 and construction of a new-type power system with new energy as the mainstay, take the "three new" industries as the starting point, analyze the demand and seize the market opportunities from the perspective of users; second, cultivate the core competitiveness, solve the development bottleneck through intensifying the mechanism innovation, give full play to and mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of scientific researchers, and strengthen the core capacity building; third, join forces to make innovations, make good use of the Internet thinking, combine the advantages of digital platform of leading enterprises with those of their own professional application and development, create a replicable productization model, and achieve innovative development through win-win cooperation.

Hu Jiandong said that SEP has carried out the overall planning of the enterprise innovation system from the top design level, intensified its work on cultivating the new business forms and tapping the new value, and made layout in advance. As an important unit in building the innovation system, Minghua Electric Power should establish itself in emerging industries such as integrated smart energy, energy storage, microgrid and power demand-side service, boldly explore and practice, enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise and cultivate the new growth momentum.

The relevant persons in charge of Legal and Commercial Affairs Department, International Business Department and Procurement and Bidding Management and Service Center of SPIC and CPCEC, and related leaders of General Office, Science, Technology and Innovation Department and Supplies and Procurement Department of SEP, as well as the person in charge of Minghua Electric Power, joined in the research.
