SEPA, SEP Host Integrated Smart Energy Training Course

From September 23-24, the Integrated Smart Energy Training Course of 2021, jointly hosted by Shanghai Electric Power Trade Association (SEPA) and SEP, organized by SEP Party School (Talent College), was held successfully. The class opening ceremony was presided over by Liao Xueqin, Adviser of SEPA, and Secretary-General Wang Guping and Deputy Secretary-General Lu Yujie were also present.

Wei Juliang, Vice Chairman of SEPA and President and Deputy Party Secretary of SEP, delivered a speech focused on the three aspects of "what is integrated smart energy", "why develop integrated smart energy" and "how to develop integrated smart energy". He pointed out that integrated smart energy is a strategic choice to promote energy revolution and realize China's targets of peaking carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060, an important support to build a new-type power system, and the only way for the transformation and upgrading of energy enterprises. He called on the participants to establish the "Party B thinking", adhere to efficiency-centered and innovation-driven approach, optimize management model, systems and mechanisms, strive to create a broad world of integrated smart energy development, become an important point of strength, innovation and growth for energy transformation, and make new and greater contributions to the sustainable high-quality development of power industry in Shanghai.

Several leading experts and scholars from Shanghai's energy industry, including Liu Huiping, Director of Expert Committee of Shanghai Distributed Energy Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Bai Zunliang, Senior Manager of Energy Strategy Development Department of Shanghai Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Center, and Wang Yixiao, Director of Energy Internet Center of Shanghai Electric Power Design Institute, were invited to give speeches on topics such as "Innovative Practice and Future Concerns on Smart Energy Technology Application", "Thought on Integrated Energy System Solutions in Megacity Areas" and "Discussion and Case Studies on Integrated Smart Energy Service Business" respectively, sharing their experience with full of practical knowledge.

During the training, the trainees conducted a site visit to World Expo New Bund Integrated Smart Energy Project of SEP New Industry Management Center. Through visiting the project sand table, model, screen data, equipment, etc. and further sharing of the good practice of integrated smart energy in the city, they obtained first-hand experience regarding the role and market prospect of integrated smart energy in energy saving and emission reduction and green energy as well as the ideas of integrated energy solutions in developing the market of megacities.

A total of 100 trainees from 49 well-known domestic and overseas energy enterprises and colleges and universities attended the training course.
