Wang Yundan Conducts Safety Inspection on Malta, Montenegro Project Sites

From June 1-7, 2017, SEP Chairman Wang Yundan led a delegation to Malta and Montenegro to conduct site safety inspection. CFO Chen Wenhao participated in the inspection.

During the inspection, Wang listened to the work report by SEPM on safety management, and inspected the sites of D3 power plant oil-to-gas conversion project and Montenegro wind power project. At D3 Power Generation Limited, the company management reported the work safety management situation and unit conversion project progress. Since the takeover of daily operation, D3 has been implementing the safety management standards of SEP strictly and respecting local management requirements in Malta, and maintaining overall stable work safety situation without non-planned outage so far. Since the oil-to-gas conversion project started in 2016, the project has been carried out in full compliance with designed schedule, with phase-I project completed and put into operation and phase-II project under steady progress. At present, D3 is vigorously pushing forward the internal review of ISO14001 system and meanwhile conducting the certification of ISO9001 system. At the Montenegro wind power project site, Wang and his delegation carefully examined the preliminary work of field-leveling project.

Wang expressed satisfaction with the practical effect of this inspection. He said that D3 did a highly efficient job in organizing multiple tasks including oil-to-gas conversion project, commercial operation of part of units and QHSE system certification. Although Montenegro project has not started construction officially, the project department was able to strictly implement the safety management standards of SEP, rigorously execute safety entity responsibilities on site, pay high attention to self-examination and self-correction work of production safety, carry out work safety management in a better, more substantial and detailed way, emphasize on key tasks, and realize the management goals of "no dead zone, no blind angle and no leak item". He hoped SEPM to focus on development and continue to strengthen safety management in the meantime, and build up complete overseas QHSE management system and safety management standard for overseas Greenfield projects, in order to provide results and experience for SEP's multinational operation safety management.

The heads of SEP General Office, Safety, Quality and Environmental Protection Department, SEP Engineering and SEPM attended the above activities.
