From September 21 to 22, Huang Chen, Chairman of Shanghai Electric Power, led a delegation to Kazakhstan. The delegation visited Han Chunlin, Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, inspected the Company’s entities in Kazakhstan, and conducted employee forums and onsite consolation visits The visit aimed to advance the overseas implementation of SPIC’s “Balanced Growth Strategy” and deepen high-quality cooperation in the China-Kazakhstan new energy industry.Lu Jing, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Power, and Liang Qiong, Deputy General Manager of Green Energy International, participated in the visit.

On the morning of September 21, Huang Chen and his delegation visited Ambassador Han Chunlin. Ambassador Han said that Kazakhstan’s new energy market is full of opportunities and broad prospects, and expressed the hope to continue advancing China-Kazakhstan practical energy cooperation and deliver more results. In the afternoon, Huang Chen and his delegation visited the Company’s entities in Kazakhstan, listened to a thematic  work report and held discussions with employees. The meeting noted that the Company should unswervingly advance integrated regional management reform in Kazakhstan and coordinate resources across Central Asia; focus on the investment, construction and operation of large-scale renewable energy bases and bring in talent urgently needed for regional development; build overseas benchmark demonstration projects and establish a good image as a central SOE; and strictly adhere to compliance and integrity requirements to effectively prevent overseas operational risks.

 

On the morning of September 22, Huang Chen and his delegation visited the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on advancing high-quality development of the new energy industry in Kazakhstan going forward and jointly achieving greater results in energy cooperation. In the afternoon, Huang Chen went to the Akmola Region wind farm of SPIC Kazakhstan Energy Investment ,  the workplace safety contact point, to conduct a safety inspection, held discussions with employees, and visited the staff living area to learn about their work and living conditions and extend Mid-Autumn Festival greetings.
