At 11:58 on January 29, Shanghai Heavy Gas Turbine Class H Unit 2 successfully completed the 168-hour full-load trial operation, operating stably with all performance indicators meeting expectations. So far, both units of Shanghai Heavy Gas Turbines have been successfully put into commercial operation, and the major objectives of the project have been smoothly achieved.

The Shanghai Heavy Gas Turbine project undertakes the dual missions of supporting the National Major  Programs of heavy gas turbine and ensuring power supply for Shanghai, a megacity. Its main project officially commenced in September 2022. Among them, Unit 1 took the lead in completing the 168-hour full-load trial operation and was put into operation in June 2025. Up to now, it has generated a total of more than 1.34 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity and operated safely for nearly 4,000 hours.
