On February 15, safety production leaders from across the company gathered to participate in this crucial safety warning education for the third consecutive year.
Cao Jun, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, and Liu Pingfan, Secondary Inspector of the East China Regulatory Bureau of the National Energy Administration, attended and delivered speeches. Zhang Xingge, Director of the Industrial and Trade Safety Supervision Management Division of the Shanghai Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, and Chen Jie, Deputy Director of the Electricity Safety Supervision Division of the East China Regulatory Bureau of the National Energy Administration, also attended the event. Chairman Lin Hua delivered a lecture as the primary responsibility holder for safety production, with General Manager Huang Chen presiding over the session. Company leaders Xie Jing, Tian Jiandong, Zhang Haixiao, Pan Longxing, and Xi LinGen also attended the event.
Cao Jun emphasized three key points: First, we should profoundly learn from past lessons and firmly shoulder the political responsibility for safety production; second, we have to draw on experience and further strengthen risk prevention, as well as hidden danger investigation and management; and third, we must comprehensively address issues related to responsibility implementation, system mechanisms, and basic management to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of safety management.
Liu Pingfan stressed three actions: First, we should raise political awareness while strengthening the sense of responsibility and mission for safety production; Second, we have to adopt a problem-oriented approach and address the shortcomings and gaps in safety production; Third, we must ensure that responsibilities are fully assigned, measures are implemented, and actions are carried out effectively to maintain safety and stability.
Lin Hua emphasized that the company’s tasks in production safety, infrastructure safety, and new energy development remain significant this year, especially as the company moves forward with the reform of its international industrial platform. With the tasks being numerous and complex, all departments and units must embrace the principle of “People first, life first,” adhere to the “Three Rules” to counter the “Three Violations,” continue applying the thirteen safety management tools, and intensify responsibility. Strict supervision must be enforced to prevent accidents, sustain the hard-won safety and stability, and lay a solid foundation for the company to implement reform tasks, advance the “Three Comprehensives,” and achieve the goal of “Lead the way, set the mark.”
